Glass Mulch
We are pleased to provide residents of the California Central valley including Manteca, Ripon, Salida, Riverbank, Oakdale, Ceres and Turlock with Tumbled Glass Mulch made from 100% recycled glass. It has virtually no sharp edges and the vivid colors never fade or need replacing. Our Mulch is made in Modesto California and can be purchased locally or shipped anywhere. Used as a mulch, it's a natural deterrent to snails and slugs, helps conserve water and maintains consistent soil temperature. There are many other uses for the product. It can also be used in as decorative aggregates in cement or terrazzo, fire pits, aquariums or as decorator accents in vases or in table settings. Once you see the tumbled glass you will see the myriad possibilities in the yard and in the home.
The pictures below are intended to represent the look of the delivered product. Because the product is made from post consumer recycled materials there may be some minor variations in the exact color and texture of the actual product. Some of the bottles that can be used to make have labels printed on the bottles. For example the Corona beer bottles used for clear glass. When we produce the clear glass products we attempt to remove the bottles with the printed labels before the glass is crushed. While we attempt to get all of them out before they go in the crusher a few may slip through. For this reason it is possible that you will find a few pieces of mulch with residual paint on them. We apologize in advance for this.
Most colors are available in several styles as shown below.
The landscape mulch and has random sizes and shapes and may contain a limited number of larger pieces. The random sizes and shapes is intended to provide for good coverage and adhesion in a landscape setting. While we call the style landscape many people use it in decorative applications in pots or for centerpieces.
The fire pit glass is a smaller size (approximately 3/4 inch and smaller) and is a more uniform size and shape which works best in fire pits. It is also good for use in centerpieces, as cover in pots, as aggregate in terrazzo and in aquariums.
